Colin was Deputy at Westlands when I first met him upon my arrival at the school.  He was always very supportive towards me and my dept.  As Headteacher, he put his heart and soul into the school in support of the students and staff even when times were difficult and stressful.   My overriding memory of Colin is from 2008 when I set up my first trip abroad with my languages department and we were in 'need of a man' to come with us - he survived two days of coach travel and a day in Disneyland Paris with a coach load of year 7 students and 4 female staff members.  It's no wonder Colin was the one handing out the red wine at the end of each evening!
